How long does setup take?
About five minutes: sign up, add your name and photo or logo, and your link is ready. No credit card, no sales call.
Do I need a nutrition certification?
No. Plans are general-wellness meal plans built from foods your client picked and fitted to their targets. Not medical nutrition therapy; we don't serve clinical cases.
Can I try it on myself first?
Yes — and we recommend it. Run your own quiz in demo mode and see exactly what a client sees. Demo plans don't count toward anything.
Your clients
What does a client actually get?
A flexible weekly meal plan built from real dishes with checked portions, fitted to their targets and made only from foods they picked. Every week comes with a grocery list grouped by store department. They can swap any sample meal and the targets re-balance.
How long is the quiz?
About three minutes on a phone. One question per screen, no typing where a tap works.
Do plans handle allergies?
Plans are built only from foods a client explicitly picks — that's the honest framing. We don't offer an allergen-exclusion feature and never claim allergen safety; clients should check every label.
Money
Can I run both models at the same time?
Yes. Each link has its own setting. One link where clients subscribe, another where you cover it — side by side, add more anytime.
When am I charged for credits?
When you activate a client after their 3-day trial — one credit for the first month. After that a client's month renews for one credit while their renewal is on. Trials cost you nothing.
When do I get paid on client subscriptions?
Automatically, through Stripe, on its regular payout schedule. SmartEat keeps a flat $10 per subscription; the rest goes to your connected account.
What about refunds?
Clients have a 7-day free trial, so nobody is charged without having used the full product. Refund requests go to support and are decided case by case.
What about sales tax?
Client subscription prices are shown before tax; tax is calculated at checkout. Your share is computed on net-of-tax revenue.
Your brand
Do my clients see SmartEat?
Never. Your name, your photo or logo, your colors — on the quiz, the plan and every email. The URL is yours too.
Do you email my clients?
Every email carries your name; you can see and switch off the marketing-class sequences in your cabinet. No SmartEat branding, no cross-promotion, no data selling. Your clients only ever hear from you.
Health & safety
Is this medical advice?
No. SmartEat provides general wellness information, not medical advice. Plan pages carry a plain disclaimer asking clients to consult a professional, especially if pregnant, nursing, or managing a condition.
Who do you not serve?
Dietitians, clinical nutritionists, telehealth and medical-wellness providers — their clients expect medical nutrition therapy, and that's outside what a generated plan should claim to be.
